Shamble Shamble

If it matters,Shamble it.For beautifully shambly brains.

Shambly brains don't forget things because they don't care. They forget because out of sight really is out of mind. Shamble puts your day where you can see it: your One Thing, notes, checklists and photos on a warm felt board, on your phone and on your real wall. Say it, and it's up. In sight, in mind.

December 2026 for Android phones, Samsung Galaxy XR and XREAL Project Aura.

The Shamble board floating and slowly turning: felt hexagons in pine frames holding the One Thing card, notes, photos, calendar pages and the navy clock cottage. The Shamble board in evening mode, framed with fairy lights.

Tap the mic, or on the headset just say "Shamble".

  • Shamble a note: call the vet
  • Shamble my One Thing: post Gran's birthday card
  • Shamble an appointment, dentist at half three
  • Shamble a quote
  • Shamble a cup of tea
  • Shamble another hexagon

Sadly, Shamble can't put the kettle on. It'll pop a cup of tea on your board, though, and remind you to make a real one.

What you can do

Get it out of your head and onto your board.

Add to your board

  • Note

Say it or type it, and it flies to a free spot.

  • Checklist

Shopping, packing, Saturday. Every tick gets a line through it.

  • Affirmation

Write your own, or ask Shamble for one of its lines.

  • Decoration

Plants, flowers, a cup of tea. Make it feel like yours.

  • Photo

Polaroids of the people and places that keep you going.

  • Calendar

Today's appointments as little pages, not hidden in an app.

  • Hexagon

Grow the board as life fills up, and drag things anywhere.

And on every board

  • Your One Thing

One card for the single thing that matters today. It leads on every screen.

  • The shelf

A paperweight and a brass clip hold the two things you want closest.

  • The breathing light

It glows slowly, so you can breathe along with it.

  • Evening and fairy lights

The board softens for the evening, with a string of lights if you like.

  • A forgiving bin

Binned papers wait seven days, so nothing goes for good by accident.

  • Never overdue

Nothing is ever late or failed. It's still there, whenever you're ready.

Why Shamble

Google remembers when. Shamble remembers where.

If your brain is beautifully shambly, you know how it goes. The thing you didn't write down is gone, and the thing you did write down is in an app you never open. Your phone is already good at alarms. Shamble does the other half: it gives your plans a place you can see, like a note on the fridge, so they stay in sight and in mind.

It's warm, tactile and a bit whimsical on purpose. A spatial answer to a spatial problem.

Where it runs

One board, four ways in.

Start with the phone in your pocket and grow into your room. Every step is the same board, so nothing you've written has to move. Look for the One Thing card: it's the same card on all four.

  1. Shamble on a phone in cards view: the One Thing card, Post Gran's birthday card, then today's times and a Saturday list
Shamble on a phone with the board rearranged into a tall column of four felt hexagons: the clock cottage, two photos, the One Thing card and a Saturday checklist, with the shelf below holding a spare-key note and a shopping list

    Pocket-sized

    Shamble on your phone

The whole board in your hand: your One Thing, notes, lists, photos, the shelf and the clock cottage. Flip between the board and a tidy stack of cards, drag things where you want them, or just say it. The clock cottage can live on your home screen too. Free, with everything unlocked.

  2. A view through display glasses into a hallway, the front door open to the street. Floating in light lines: the outline of the clock cottage, a One thing chip, and the words Post Gran's birthday card.

    Eyeline-sized

    Shamble Mini, on display glasses

Display glasses are the light, everyday kind. Glance, and Mini shows your One Thing and the two things on your shelf, drawn in light lines the world shows through. Tap the frame to mark it done, and it gets out of your way.

  3. A woman at her kitchen-table desk wearing XR glasses, typing on her laptop. Beside her, a baking video floats by the window and the Shamble board hangs on the wall: felt hexagons with the clock cottage, the One Thing card Post Gran's birthday card, notes, photos, calendar pages and a Saturday checklist.

    Desk-sized

A window on your home screen

On Galaxy XR and XREAL Project Aura, Shamble opens as a window in multiview, next to your browser, your email or whatever you're watching. It's the same board with the same papers, so you can glance across, tick something off and get back to it.

  4. Room-sized

    Step in

Step in and the board grows to full size on your real wall: felt hexagons in pine frames, the clock cottage chiming the quarters, and a little shelf that walks round the room with you. Passthrough stays on, so your room stays in view, right down to the tea going cold.

Questions

Good to know

What's a shambly brain?

One that runs on what it can see. If it's in front of you, it gets done; if it's in a drawer, an inbox or an app, it may as well not exist. Busy parents, carers, creative types and plenty of others will know the feeling. Shamble is made for all of them.

Do I have to talk to it?

No. Everything you can say, you can also tap or type. Voice is there for when your hands are full or the thought is about to escape. Start with "Shamble", say what you want, and it goes on the board in your own words.

Which devices does Shamble work on?

Shamble for Android XR runs on the Samsung Galaxy XR headset and XREAL Project Aura glasses. The phone app runs on Android phones. Shamble Mini for display glasses will follow when Samsung's new display glasses arrive.

Do I need a headset or glasses?

No. The phone app is the whole board, free, and a good place to start. When you add glasses or a headset, your board comes with you.

Can I still see my room?

Yes. When you step in, passthrough stays on, so your room and the people in it stay in view. The home-screen window sits alongside your other apps.

How do my phone and headset stay in sync?

On the same Wi-Fi, they share one board over an encrypted link. You pair them once by matching a six-digit number. There's no account and nothing leaves the house. Shamble Plus adds cloud sync and backup for when you're out.

What does it cost?

The phone app is free, with everything unlocked. On glasses and headsets, Shamble Plus adds cloud sync and backup, your own 3D objects and, coming later, Hi/Bye Boards. Its pricing is still to be announced.

Is Shamble a medical app?

No. Shamble is an organising app. It isn't a medical device and doesn't diagnose or treat anything.

Why I made Shamble

Hi, I'm Laura. I have ADHD and CPTSD. For years I lived in a state of quiet, constant emergency. Nothing was technically on fire, but everything smelt faintly of smoke, and I was somehow late, hungry, missing a shoe and unable to remember why I'd walked into the kitchen.

In 2020 I rebuilt my life from the ground up as a single mum. No cavalry was coming, so I built scaffolding: a Google Nest in every room, with timers for the school run, the laundry and leaving the house. I'm basically parented by a chorus of polite robots.

I've downloaded productivity apps with the optimism of a woman who truly believed that this time, a pastel dashboard would save her. Reader, it did not. For shambly brains like mine, "out of sight, out of mind" isn't a saying. It's the operating system. So I made Shamble: a warm place for the things that matter, right where I'll see them.

Spatial computing has excited me since I first held a View-Master up to my eyes as a child. Being somewhere else entirely, just by looking, felt like magic. I've loved watching VR grow up over the past decade, and now glasses are bringing it into everyday life. I think that could change lives.

Being shambly isn't a flaw. It's a different way of moving through the world, and it deserves technology that can keep up.
